Young The Giant is a rock band that formed in Irvine, California in 2004. The band consists of five members: Sameer Gadhia, who is lead vocals, Jacob Tilley and Eric Cannata, who are both on guitar, Payam Doostzadeh, who is on bass, and finally Francois Comtois who is on the drums. The band was signed in 2009, where their first three singles reached the top 5 in the US Alternative Songs chart. They were previously known as The Jakes, but they decided to change their name in 2010. Their first hit single “My Body” hit top five on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The song was featured on American Idol, and the band has also preformed the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live! They also preformed at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, and a little after that they went on tour with the famous Incubus. The latest work from the band is their third studio album, Home Of The Strange which was released in April of 2016.
