Country music is a rare genre in the sense that the overwhelming majority of artists actually come from down-home country upbringings. The plain and awesome truth is that many of the top country music stars in North America rose to their status by way of being born in the South, being given a guitar at a relatively young age and having a knack for pursuing their dreams.
