Dates, Tickets & Presale Info For Journeys Upcoming 2017 North American Tour

Rock legends Journey recently announced a huge addition to their 2016 North American tour, adding a few dozen tour dates that will unfold between early-June and mid-July. is proud to announce that they have moved quickly to stock a selection of affordable tickets, which are available to all fans now.

Journey is one of the rare rock ‘n roll bands that has presided over the evolution of the last 40+ years in the dominant musical genre. They have defined themselves and redefine themselves, and here are four pivotal points during the aforementioned span of time that Journey fans should (probably already) know about.

Early 70’s

Compared to today’s format of creating music and hoping to rise to the top of the Billboard charts, the early 1970s were an absolute cave painting. Several bands were scurrying together and hoping to make an impact on the rock ‘n roll genre, which was essentially defined by The Beatles thanks to their exploits in the 1960s.

As far as Journey goes, they came together in 1973 and scratched out the initial hoofprints of a group that had the pieces in place to one day experience true global success.

Early 80’s

Like a slew of bands who had an idea in the 70s and made good on it during the wide-open decade, Journey peaked in the early-1980s. It was a glorious time in which drugs ran free down all avenues of society, and professional sporting leagues such as the NFL and the NBA were just beginning to come into prominence.

During this time, Journey released three albums, two of which climbed to the very top of the Billboard charts. 1981’s Escape and 1983’s Frontiers proved to be the high-water marks for the band initially created in San Francisco.

YouTube. Arnel Pineda. These are the most important factoids to know about the new version of Journey, which was born again in 2007 after a successful search for a new lead singer. Amazingly, a young Filipino male demonstrated his ability to re-create the vocals on every single one of the most recognizable songs, which made him an unlikely candidate for the face of Journey moving forward.

The band released an album with Pineda as the proverbial ring leader, and it climbed all the way to #5 on the American Billboard charts. The rest is history, as the group continues to tour with the intention of giving fans exactly what they grew to know and love in the late-70s, 80s and every year since.

Journey now stands on the proverbial doorstep of a gigantic North American run in the upcoming months. The first leg of the tour will begin in Washington in mid-March and conclude in Dayton, Ohio at the Nutter Center on April 4.

The most-recently announced collection of shows will begin with a performance at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 5 and conclude in Texas at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso with a performance on the evening of July 15. In between, the tour will visit an abundance of mid-sized cities throughout the Midwest and the South. An abundance of affordable tickets are just a few clicks away.
